The Kingdom of Mutapa, also known as the Monomotapa or Mwenemutapa, was a medieval kingdom that spanned from modern-day Zimbabwe to parts of Mozambique. It was established in the 15th century and lasted until the late 19th century.

The Munhumutapa Empire and its rich history

The ruler of the kingdom of Great Zimbabwe was named Munhumutapa. This ancient African kingdom existed between the 11th and 15th centuries CE and was revered for its stone architecture. The city of Great Zimbabwe was the centre of politics, economics, and culture. Munhumutapa became the most powerful leader during the peak of the kingdom in the 14th century.

Great Zimbabwe, is an ancient city that thrived from the 11th to the 15th century CE during pre-colonial Africa. This place was the centre of a powerful kingdom and its ruins still stand today. A city built out of stone is still considered one of the most impressive architectural developments!
